The Client
LMTY (Let Me Tell Ya) is pioneering the Web3 space with a user-friendly page builder platform that makes blockchain technology accessible to everyday creators. Their vision was to develop a tool that removes technical barriers while empowering users with Web3's enhanced data ownership and digital asset capabilities.
The Challenge
Web3 technologies present a significant UX challenge: their powerful capabilities often come with complex interfaces that alienate mainstream users. LMTY needed a design approach that would mask this complexity while maintaining full blockchain functionality. The platform needed to appeal to both Web3 enthusiasts and newcomers without sacrificing features or requiring technical expertise. Additionally, as an early-stage startup, LMTY required a distinctive brand identity that would stand out in the rapidly evolving blockchain landscape.
The Solution
We developed a comprehensive design strategy starting with a structured branding workshop that explored six thematic directions. Working closely with the founder, we refined these concepts into a cohesive visual language that balanced innovation with accessibility. This foundation informed our creation of strategic onboarding experiences, including a streamlined signup flow and a gamified referral system that incentivized early adoption through blockchain-based rewards. The core page builder was designed with an intuitive side-by-side interface showing real-time updates across device types.
Creating a User-Friendly Web3 Experience
Taking inspiration from popular profile builders like Linktree and Unfold, we designed an intuitive editing interface that paired desktop and mobile previews side-by-side for real-time feedback. We developed specialized templates for common NFT page types, eliminating technical hurdles while maintaining Web3 capabilities. This approach transformed what could have been overwhelmingly complex into a accessible experience for both blockchain enthusiasts and newcomers.
Establishing a Solid Foundation for Future Growth
While LMTY was in its exploratory phase, we developed a flexible design system built to accommodate future expansion. The component library balanced immediate needs with anticipated functionality, providing clear implementation guidelines. Our design decisions carefully considered blockchain performance constraints, ensuring visual elements enhanced rather than hindered the user experience. The visual system combined custom illustrations, distinctive typography, and purpose-driven animations that both guided users and reinforced the brand identity, creating a cohesive experience that could scale alongside LMTY's ambitious product roadmap.
