Helping good people achieve great design.

Born and raised in Cape Cod. Lived and learned in Chicago. Growing and working in Austin.

I’m a Creative Director and Designer with a lifelong passion for design. My strong organizational and people skills enable me to create engaging experiences that leave a lasting impact. I believe in a customer-centric approach and utilize my expertise in UX, UI, and design strategy to consistently exceed expectations and deliver memorable user experiences.

Each of my roles has built upon the last. I led the creative team at a rapidly growing hotel company, helping it expand from 7 to 580 units. I’ve managed skilled product designers while collaborating with world-class brands and startups to bring innovative ideas to life. Before leaving the corporate world to raise my daughter, I co-led the design of a groundbreaking PropTech app that simplifies the home-buying process.

In addition to my design work, I’m proud to own Willinglee, a gift box shop that supports small businesses and artisans in the US. Our gifts, sustainably boxed and wrapped with hand-painted paper, reflect our commitment to supporting fellow artists and giving back to our community.

I am driven by a desire to deliver memorable user experiences, support local businesses, and create meaningful, lasting connections through design.

If you consider yourself a good person in need of great design, I’d love to connect :)

Partner with a designer who lives beyond the screen.
2008

Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) provided me with a robust foundation in conceptual thinking. The program encouraged me to explore the underlying motivations behind my creative work, fostering a deeper understanding of my artistic practice and purpose.

Continued my work in fiber and silk-screening, funding my passion through tips earned while waitressing. Nothing humbled me more than the occasional guest walking out on their bill.

Moved to Austin in pursuit of warmer weather and a creative community. When I struggled to find an art position, I embraced a new path by teaching preschoolers at a locally-owned Reggio Emilia school.

After re-entering the service industry to refocus on my art, I suffered a tragic fall and severely injured my dominant hand. During recovery, I created "Small Pleasures," a self-published coffee table book that helped me navigate through depression.

Reconnected with a former student's parent who co-founded a boutique hotel startup. As design team leader at The Guild, I integrated design principles into the brand while creating engaging guest experiences. The Guild taught me about both passion and burnout – I gave everything to the company and gained invaluable business lessons in return. This transformative experience ultimately helped me discover my true direction.

Four months after marrying my best friend, my entire team at The Guild was let go due to the pandemic. My husband and I started our own business supporting fellow artists, and I joined webuild as a Product Designer. Over the next four years, I grew into the Design Manager role while navigating the highs and lows of small business life across both companies.

2021

My husband and I explored Alex's heritage across four Greek islands. We wandered Koufonisia, marveled at Santorini's views, embraced Folegandros' relaxed pace, and conquered our fear of heights on Milos. This journey deepened our connection and reminded us that life's meaning extends far beyond our work.

2024

webuild shut its doors and I stayed on with two of our clients, PorchPass and Braustin. As the Creative Director, I played a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the brand's creative vision and product designs, focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions in the manufactured housing industry. I led a small team of designers and contractors, ensuring that all designs aligned with the company’s mission to enhance the home-buying experience.

Now seeking fresh clients! If you’re a good person in need of great design, let’s connect.

I'm using everything I've learned over the past decade to work differently now. I stay current with design trends through courses like Memorisely and Framer while making time for writing, reading, and community involvement that I set aside during my corporate years. Family always comes first for me; if that doesn't align with your values, we might not be the right fit. But if you want to collaborate with someone passionate about creating a better, more beautiful world for future generations, I’d love to chat.
